I am seeking a general dentistry associateship with a mentor to guide me as I begin my nascent dental career. I am interested in a future partnership and growing a successful practice with the potential for multiple office locations. With the clinical experience I have gained throughout my Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship, I want to apply those learned skills in my practice, including dental extractions, dental abscess drainage, management of dentoalveolar fractures, and hard and soft tissue biopsies. Additionally, I plan to incorporate IV sedation into my practice after completing the requirements for the Comprehensive Conscious Sedation Permit.
I consider myself an ambitious person. I want to absorb as much knowledge as possible to become an extremely competent practitioner in all facets of dentistry. I also understand the importance of interdisciplinary relationships. As a surgical intern, I have had the responsibility to coordinate treatment with other medical services for medically compromised patients in a hospital setting. In the clinic setting, I worked with the various dental specialties and dental students to plan dentoalveolar procedures.
I have always been extremely outgoing, making it easy for me to communicate with a team to find creative solutions to any problems we may encounter. I enjoy developing relationships with patients and creating a more comfortable space for them especially when many have an aversion to the dental office. Dentistry is a business that must be balanced with treating each patient as a person who has a real concern affecting his or her quality of life, no matter how minor the issue. I am excited to move to the Nashville area to be closer to family and to put roots down as a general dentist. I look forward to becoming a member of the Tennessee dental community.
