Additional Information
To provide compassionate, comprehensive, and quality care to patients while working in a friendly, team-based environment. I would also like to continue serving my community through dental and non-dental related projects.
Currently, I am finishing a one-year General Practice Residency at Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington, DE, where I have had the opportunity to work with adult and pediatric patients with complex medical histories and/or special needs, along with those who require dental clearance (prior to surgeries, radiation, or bisphosphonate therapy). Along with training in hospital dentistry, residency has also provided me with further training in all aspects of general private practice dentistry: Emergencies: Take call at two hospitals to provide incision and drainage, splinting of mobile or avulsed teeth, and treatment for persistent bleeding; Oral Surgery: Simple extractions, surgical extractions (not including impacted third molars), alveoloplasty; Removable Prosth: Complete dentures, partial dentures, interim RPDs, Essix retainers, occlusal guards; Fixed Prosth: Crowns, bridges, implant restorations every Wednesday afternoon (single, bridges, overdentures, hybrids, cement and screw-retained, Nobel and Biomet 3i systems); Endo: Pulpectomies, anterior and posterior teeth (Vortex Blue rotary system); Peds: Work with children alongside pediatric dentists every Friday morning (restorative, extractions, space maintainers, pulpotomies, pulpectomies, SSCs); Perio: Prophies, SRP, hygiene checks, assist periodontists (free gingival grafts, osseous surgeries), attend monthly lectures; Ortho: Four case presentations with orthodontists, anticipated Invisalign certification in March 2021; Software Used: Dentrix, Trophy, Axium, MiPACS
Highly motivated, reliable, and eager to learn from experienced practitioners and mentors. Consistently recognized for being a dedicated team player and having a gentle and kind demeanor with patients.
