Additional Information
I am currently a first year Advanced Periodontology resident at the University of Southern California receiving my graduate certificate in Periodontology as well as a Master's in Biomedical Implants and Tissue Engineering. I am passionate about all aspects of dentistry and wish to gain work experience in General Dentistry on Saturdays with my future career path being a Periodontist following my graduation in Summer 2023.
I am professional and caring, a team player and not afraid to take on a challenge. I've been told by family, friends, and patients that I am a people person. I have a knack for oral health education and I always treat my patients with care and compassion as I would a dear family member. I am a hard worker and treat my colleagues, staff and patients with respect and kindness.
I have a bubbly and friendly personality so I would probably be a good fit for a practice where patients, staff and doctors have amicable personalities as well. Outside of dentistry I love to go to the beach, hike, practice yoga, attend dance classes and cook and bake new recipes.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene in undergrad at USC. I started working as a hygienist the summer after dental hygiene school and continued to work part-time on Saturdays and free days during the week throughout my four years of dental school at USC. While in dental school I held many leadership positions on a local and national level. I was the Board Director for the Council of Students, Residents, and Fellows in the American Dental Education Association for 2 years. I was the Vice President of Internal Affairs for my dental school's Associated Student Body for one year and a student for USC dental school as well. I was USC Mobile Clinic selective my 3rd and 4th year of dental school where I got to treat the underserved pediatric communities in central and Southern California as well as the homeless adult population on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles.
